Project Description

Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) offers quality adoptions, affordable spaying/neutering, vaccinations, micro-chipping services, pet care services and education programs to enhance the human-animal bond. Charity Dynamics had the rewarding opportunity to carry out a responsive website redesign for HSSV aimed at improving access to crucial animal rescue services, highlighting their excellent photography and blog content and optimizing their migration to the Blackbaud CMS platform.

Challenge

Create streamlined and intuitive user paths to improve engagement to adopt animals, donate and volunteer
Utilize dynamic storytelling to highlight human / animal connections and further inspire visitors to become involved
Seamlessly integrate the blog
Increase animal photography & social media site-wide
Design and develop a responsive, modern site in alignment with HSSV’s position in Silicon Valley as a perceived technical mecca

Approach

Conduct stakeholder interviews to develop baseline goals, establish target audience and persona groups and identify engagement paths to satisfy user needs while meeting organizational goals
Streamline site architecture and content navigation in order to present users with clear and concise user paths
Implement a content hierarchy to strongly support the organization’s main calls to action while minimizing competing content
Display priority animals to site visitors (eg. lost and found pets, pet of the week) with social sharing integration
Create compelling and beautiful responsive, user-experience focused designs

Outcome

Creation and configuration of Blackbaud CMS instance and migration of existing content from Pagebulilder
Responsive design utilizing new established branding to maintain consistency across digital and offline organization presences
Multiple, consistent wrappers to provide a seamless user experience across all Blackbaud Luminate Online modules
Complimentary responsive email stationery for use with Blackbaud configured email campaigns and auto-responders
Two 90 minute training sessions for Blackbaud CMS usage and maintenance
