Facebook recently added the ability to livestream on Facebook, catching up to the explosive popularity of livestreaming apps like Periscope. We think this is a great opportunity for nonprofits to engage their community through personal staff messages, behind the scenes footage and content showing the mission in action. 2. Break the Mold with Innovative Revenue Streams
Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation partnered with a video game developer to create a new way to engage constituents and raise funds. The game integrates the story of a teenager’s journey following a cancer diagnosis. 3. YouTube Donation Cards
A new feature on YouTube allows users to add a ‘donation card’ to their videos that allow the video audience to make a donation directly to the selected nonprofit. YouTube is covering the transaction fee so that 100% of the donation goes directly to the organization. We are excited about this feature as another opportunity to engage supporters to fundraise on your behalf, furthering the reach of peer-to-peer fundraising. Read More!
