All Charity Dynamics retained services clients get weekly status updates that allow us to keep track of all the various initiatives our teams are collaborating on.
Each week, we share the most innovative ideas we see and look for ways to keep our clients on the cutting edge. Here are three of our favorite ideas from January:
1) Two Key Social Shares to expand the reach of your event program
Your site probably already has social sharing. But there are two key areas where a specific social share user experience can make a big impact on your registrations and fundraising. On the ‘Thank You for Registering’ Page, add a large call to action button to encourage sharing to Facebook. The key is that the link shared should be the ‘Greeting’ Page for the specific event the user just registered for. The second key place to update is the ‘Thank you for Donating’ Page. The link should credit the donation to the same participant that the donor just contributed to.
2) Use Event Manager to empower a volunteer event chair
Consider recruiting a volunteer event chair to support your P2P fundraising event. Event fundraisers love to hear from someone just like them. Luminate Online can support your volunteer through the event manager. The Event Manager allows the organization to specify exactly which actions the volunteer can and can’t take.
3) Fluid Coding for Gmail app
The Gmail app is becoming an increasingly important email client for testing. But this app strips out media queries which are a fundamental part of making emails fully responsive. The solution: also ensure your emails include fluid coding. This extra effort might not be right for everyone. But if you don’t know what email clients are being used to open your emails, the first step is to find out. The second step is to make sure that you are consistently testing in the most common clients for your organization. If that testing includes the Gmail app, let’s make sure fluid coding is part of that conversation.
