Meet the Team

Donna Wilkins, President

Donna has dedicated her career to helping nonprofits succeed, managing countless technical projects and delivering remarkable results — on time and on budget. Leveraging her unique skill set, for more than two decades, Donna has honed her ability to optimize client growth opportunities while avoiding missteps. As Convio’s first VP of Client Services, Donna led her team to grow the organization’s client base from one to over 300, helping to shape an industry leader in the process. Donna has worked with hundreds of nonprofit clients, including American Cancer Society, The ALS Association, Chesapeake Bay Foundation and Lance Armstrong Foundation. She holds an MBA from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Illinois.

Mandy O'Neill, Vice President of Business Development

Mandy leads our sales, marketing, and business development efforts. Prior to joining Charity Dynamics, Mandy spent more than eight years at Convio, where she was instrumental in building the company’s partners and alliances program. She possesses a deep knowledge of the nonprofit sector—and fundraising specifically—and has led nonprofit organizations in addition to consulting directly with some of the nation’s most well-known organizations, including Educare, American Heart Association, American Lung Association, American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, Common Cause of Colorado, and Mile High United Way.

Kathy Kempff, Director of Services

Kathy leads operations companywide, making sure team members are up to speed with current technologies, processes are in line with best practices and projects are executed efficiently. A Convio alum with management experience in National Accounts and Deployment Services, Kathy has been delivering online solutions in the nonprofit sector for more than a decade.

Kathy has worked with hundreds of nonprofits, including American Cancer Society, Jewish National Fund, United Way, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Kathy holds her MBA and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas, and is a certified Project Management Professional.

Jessica Hood, Director of Consulting

Jessica Hood has helped nonprofit organizations examine their overall marketing objectives and translate them into specific online objectives and actionable tactics for over a decade. As a Convio alum Jessica has worked with hundreds of nonprofits including National MS Society, American Red Cross, Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Diabetes Association, Catholic Charities, Epilepsy Foundation, National Women’s Law Center and Greenpeace. Other clients include the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, Partners for Open Space, and the Maryland League of Conservation Voters.

Jessica also served as the Internet manager at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation where she created a comprehensive strategy for the organization's web site, online fundraising, advocacy, and email communications. Jessica holds her B.S. in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland University College.

Stuart Boyd, Director of Application Services

Stuart Boyd has over 10 years of leadership experience that spans all phases of the software product lifecycle.  His previous experience includes technically innovative solutions for non-profits though his work at Convio.  He has also managed product delivery for enterprise software systems and helped design and deliver cutting edge integrated marketing solutions for small and medium sized businesses.

Stuart’s interest in non-profit organizations extends into the Austin community through his service on the board of the RSC Foundation.

Brenda Miele, Creative Director

With over ten years of creative thinking for companies and organizations, Brenda Miele brings her passion for design and development to Charity Dynamics as Creative Director. Her career has lead her up and down the crazy, winding road of .com start ups and has given her great insight and experiences in the rapidly changing world of technology. In her position at Charity Dynamics, she will be leading a energetic team of developers and designers to brainstorm and deliver great web-based solutions to all Charity Dynamics clients. Another Convio alum, Brenda has worked with a number of great non-profits such as American Diabetes Association, 24 Hours of Booty, Susan G. Komen for the Cure ™ and National Kidney Foundation. Brenda has a Bachelor in Journalism from the University of Texas, is an avid volunteer, slowly becoming an avid runner and is constantly checking out all the great music the city of Austin has to hold.

Shannon Cooper, Designer

Shannon has over ten years experience as a Web and Marketing designer. Her online background includes Websites, micro sites, email campaigns, banners, ads, ecards, stationery, and much, much more. Shannon has worked with large corporations such as Dell computers to smaller mom-and-pop shops. For fun, she is also an organizer for the largest Great Dane Meetup in the world and has two gentle giants herself which she enjoys taking to Austin's dog parks regularly.

Jonathan Drennan, Senior Consultant

Partnering with some of the nation’s largest multi-affiliate nonprofit organizations, Jonathan drives smart online strategies that further client missions. A creative thinker with an eye for detail, Jonathan brings a rare blend of strong writing and technical skills to his engagements.

Jonathan’s background includes creating Web content for high-tech clients such as Dell and AMD with Springbox, as well as working in development for Ballroom Marfa. Clients include National MS Society, American Cancer Society, The ALS Association, and National Partnership for Women and Families. Jonathan holds a B.A. in English & Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.A. in Mass Communication from Texas State University.

Susan Neumann, Consultant

Susan joins the Charity Dynamics following more than fifteen years working almost exclusively at nonprofit organizations. During her twelve years with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, most recently as the director of engagement, Susan was responsible for online, interactive campaigns using social media tools and more traditional marketing and engagement methods. Susan was responsible for all aspects of engagement, including program management and execution; membership outreach and communication; partner relations; personnel recruitment; and management.  She utilized strategic communications and planning as well as research and analysis to help the National Trust meet its overall goals. Prior to the National Trust, Susan worked with a variety of nonprofit military organizations, assisting in the founding of The Army Historical Foundation and initial planning for the National Museum of the U.S. Army.  Her other professional experience includes chairing Department of Defense working groups as well as contributing to and editing magazines. Susan earned a Masters in Public Administration from George Mason University with a concentration in Nonprofit Management and Strategic Planning (2005) and a B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University (1994).

Heidi Poulin, Consultant

Heidi Poulin brings her online marketing expertise to Charity Dynamics' clients, with more than fifteen years working for both profit and non-profit organizations such as the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Ballroom Marfa, Williams-Sonoma, Inc., and Esprit de Corp. Heidi develops multi-channel online fundraising programs for clients such as YAI, the American Kidney Fund, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Heidi has also helped groups like American Cancer Society, Canadian Cancer Society and American Diabetes Association increase their online participant event revenue.

Kimberly K. Martinez, Senior Project Manager

With over fifteen years in customer service, online marketing, and project management, Kim leads the Implementation Team for Charity Dynamics.  Charged with executing online solutions and providing coaching, analysis, and support -- the Implementation Team works hand-in-hand with Senior Consultants, Account Managers, and Sales Executives to deliver successful online initiatives to customers. As a certified Convio Solutions Partner, Kim specializes in deployments.  Her clients include AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, The Marrow Foundation, TransFair USA, Florida AIDS Walk, Canadian Cancer Society, Beth Israel Medical Center, and many more.

Before joining Charity Dynamics, Kim worked with several local non-profits such as Project Transitions, Therapeutic Family Life, Alzheimer’s Association - Capital of Texas Chapter, Austin History Center Association, Austin Groups for the Elderly, and the consumer organization Texas Watch.

Charity Dynamics’ guidance and expertise was invaluable to us when we recently launched our organization and needed to quickly begin driving interest for our inaugural event. Even while working under an extremely tight timeline, we were able to launch with complete confidence that we were taking full advantage of all of the Convio features that would enable us to increase registration, fundraising and retention.
