Exceeded their year-end fundraising goal of $1.2 million by almost $400,000
The mission of World Bicycle Relief (WBR) is to provide access to independence and livelihood through The Power of Bicycles. Bicycles are simple, sustainable and appropriate technology to support people in developing nations and disaster recovery. WBR specializes in large-scale, comprehensive bicycle programs by providing supply chain management, technical knowledge and logistics expertise to poverty relief and disaster assistance initiatives.
With Charity Dynamics' assistance, WBR tripled the size of their house file, and increased average gift amount by 49% through a combination of an email series, eCards, and a “eCommerce Donations” campaign.
With help from Charity Dynamics, WBR launched a comprehensive year-end fundraising campaign. A series of emails reinforced the time-sensitive nature of the matching offer, and reported progress of the year-end campaign. An “e-commerce donations” campaign, along with eCards that enabled donors to make a gift in a loved one’s name, helped to spread the word about WBR and the organization’s fundraising goal. Donors were given the option to make a one-time gift, recurring gift, or to buy a bicycle for a third world recipient for $134. This multi-faceted online strategy ensured that prospective donors had several options to give and promote the campaign to their family and friends.
