Introduced an Independent Fundraising Program: Community of Hope, that has raised $720,000 in the first three years of the program.
As the only national nonprofit solely dedicated to finding the causes and a cure for Lou Gehrig's Disease, The ALS Association is the preeminent leader in offering comprehensive services to those living with ALS and their families.
Charity Dynamics developed a five-phase email marketing campaign to support The ALS Association's Community of Hope™ program and to foster broad awareness of, and familiarity with, the new fundraising tool. The campaign introduced members to the program, educated email recipients about the variety of participation opportunities, and drove members to create and support The ALS Association's Community of Hope™ program.
Audiences were offered a variety of opportunities to engage with the organization. Families could create a Fund website to honor a patient’s battle with the disease, posting updates, guestbooks and photo albums. Friends of patients could become Fund Champions, creating a website and raising funds for the fight against the disease. The general public had opportunities to donate in support of The ALS Association.
Charity Dynamics also created customized email campaigns for participating chapters, allowing chapters to target their members and point email recipients directly to chapter-specific Community of Hope™ programs. These email campaigns were designed to be scheduled on a rolling basis to accommodate the varying launch dates of individual chapters.
